What the app reads
Once installed, Encaisse reads the data required to operate from your Shopify store, subject to the permissions you grant: orders, amounts, payments, refunds, line items, locations, products, Shopify sales data and reports, plus general store information such as name, currency and time zone.
If you enable the “separate customers” rule, Encaisse may also read the customer tags required for that feature.
This data is read when you use the app in Shopify Admin or Shopify POS so Encaisse can calculate and display its statistics, targets and metrics.
What is stored, and where
Your settings, targets and a daily summary of sales by location — revenue, order count and item count — are stored in your own Shopify store, in fields reserved for the app.
The deletion and lifecycle of these fields follow the Shopify platform mechanisms that apply to the app.
What our servers retain
Encaisse does not operate a database containing your orders, customers or revenue.
The server required to run the app temporarily receives the technical information needed to authenticate your Shopify session and verify your subscription plan. This information is used only to provide the service.
Like any online service, our hosting provider may retain technical logs for a limited period for operation, security and troubleshooting.
Your customers’ personal data
Orders read by Encaisse may contain personal data about your store customers.
Encaisse is not designed to create a separate database from that information: it is used as part of the app’s operation and is neither used for commercial purposes nor sold.
For these processing activities, the Shopify merchant remains the data controller and Encaisse acts, where applicable, as a processor under the GDPR.
Processors and service providers
Encaisse does not use any other third party to build a separate database of your sales or customers.
Requests sent by Shopify
Encaisse supports Shopify’s mandatory privacy mechanisms, including customer data access requests, customer data deletion requests and shop data deletion requests.
Because Encaisse does not maintain an independent database containing this personal data, no additional copy is intended to be retained by Encaisse after deletion.
Your rights
Under applicable data protection law, you may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, data portability.
For any request: hello@encaisse.shop. We respond within the time limits required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Security
Encaisse implements technical measures intended to protect the communications required to operate the app. Communications with the service use secure HTTPS connections.
encaisse.shop and cookies
The public website encaisse.shop is hosted by OVH SAS. Like any web host, OVH may process technical data needed to provide, secure and troubleshoot the service, including technical logs.
In its current version, the website does not use marketing cookies or advertising trackers. Contact links open your email client and do not submit a form to a third-party service.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page. Material changes to how data is processed may also be communicated in the app.
